I am an acoustic guitarist that plays and sings primarily country blues.  This is a style the first was recorded in the early 1920’s by artists such as Blind Lemon Jefferson.  My repertoire includes songs by Lemon, as well as many others such as Blind Willie McTell, Robert Johnson, Tommy McClennan, Tampa Red, Blind Boy Fuller, Ma Rainey, Charlie Jordan, and many others, as well as some original compositions.  Most of these songs fall in the the 1920 to 1940 range commonly known as prewar, or country blues. I play tradional fingerstyle guitar in standard tuning, and fingerstyle and bottleneck slide guitar in open tunings.

I also teach these styles and will soon do more promotion for my teaching workshops.  Group or individual workshops are available.

I have lived in Guatemala for around 18 years and am married to Catarina, an indigenous Maya.  We have a restaurant here in San Marcos La Laguna, Solola called Blind Lemon’s.
